STORY OF THE MONTH

Telecommunications Store – Plainfield, IL – September 24, 2025

Four suspects orchestrated a large-scale robbery targeting high-value mobile devices at an electronics retailer. A concealed 3Si Phone Tracker with the stolen goods provided real-time updates to responding officers. The suspects fled in multiple vehicles, but coordinated tracking led to their arrests. All stolen property, worth approximately $94,000, was recovered, and local law enforcement specifically credited 3Si technology for this swift and successful takedown.

Pharmacy – Los Angeles, CA – September 3, 2025

1 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $500

A lone suspect carried out an armed robbery at a pharmacy, fleeing nearly 20 miles before being apprehended. A 3Si Cash Tracker helped officers pinpoint the suspect’s location. The stolen cash was recovered, and the suspect was taken into custody. The pharmacy expressed high satisfaction with how quickly and effectively the situation was resolved, and are now exploring potential ties to other regional robberies.

Bank – Westmount, QC – September 4, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $8,945

A robbery at a financial branch took a dramatic turn when the suspect falsely claimed there was a bomb inside a safety deposit box, demanding $10,000 from staff. The teller complied, handing over cash along with a hidden 3Si Cash Tracker. Within minutes, 3Si’s tracking system guided Montréal police to the suspect, who had boarded a bus in an attempt to flee. Officers located and arrested the individual without incident, recovering all stolen funds. The quick collaboration between 3Si and local law enforcement led to a full recovery and a safe resolution to what began as a high-threat situation.

Luxury Goods Store – Vacaville, CA – September 15, 2025

2 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $7,100

Two suspects with a history of retail theft targeted a store specializing in highend products. After leaving the scene with thousands in stolen goods, they were tracked to a parking lot several miles away by a 3Si ORC Tracker among the stolen goods. The full $7,100 in merchandise was recovered, and the suspects were later arrested.

Convenience Store – Richmond Hill, ON – September 16, 2025

2 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $5,000

Two people committed coordinated thefts at several retail locations in the region, stealing high-end personal care products. Two 3Si ORC Trackers were triggered, allowing officers to intercept the suspects in their vehicle and recover roughly $5,000 in merchandise. The investigating officer stated the arrests were a direct result of the tracking data, noting they were highly impressed with the technology.

Luxury Goods Store – San Francisco, CA – September 22, 2025

2 ARRESRS AND FULL RECOVERY $3,027

In a coordinated theft, two suspects preemptively placed bags outside of a luxury goods store in order to steal a large quantity of goods. They were unaware that multiple 3Si ORC Trackers were included. They attempted to evade capture by changing clothes and splitting up, but real-time tracker data allowed police to locate and arrest both individuals—one on a bus, the other on foot several blocks away. All stolen goods were safely recovered. Both suspects, who had extensive criminal records, were charged with felony theft.

ATM – Richardson, TX – September 23, 2025

FULL RECOVERY $80,000

In an attempted larceny, the suspects failed to gain access to an ATM containing approximately $80,000. Although no money was taken, the 3Si ATM tracker inside was activated, allowing law enforcement to monitor the scene. The device remained stationary, confirming no unauthorized movement. This event highlights how tracker deterrence and early alerts can prevent losses before they happen.

Telecommunications Retailer – Houston, TX – September 26, 2025

2 ARRESTS AND PARTIAL RECOVERY $12,000

A duo was arrested for an armed robbery at an electronics retailer. They entered the store and stole several devices, one of which contained a 3Si Phone Tracker. Detectives used tracking data to locate a dumped getaway vehicle and intercepted the suspects in a second vehicle. They were arrested during a traffic stop. Half of the duo later confessed to this robbery and a previous theft. Approximately $12,000 worth of telecommunication equipment was recovered with no injuries.
