STORY OF THE MONTH

Electronics Store – Beloeil, QC – May 23, 2025

7 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $45,000

Seven suspects carried out a coordinated armed robbery at an electronics store, stealing electronics valued at approximately $45,000. The suspects fled in multiple vehicles, but a hidden Phone Tracker immediately activated. 3Si provided tracking support, and local law enforcement intercepted the suspects shortly. All individuals were arrested, and the stolen merchandise was fully recovered. The investigation revealed that the heist involved multiple getaway vehicles and was part of a larger organized retail crime (ORC) effort.

Bank – Ocala, FL – May 3, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $5,075

A known suspect to police committed an armed robbery at a local bank. They entered the branch and stole $5,075 in cash, unaware they also took a 3Si Cash Tracker that was live GPS tracking their location. As the tracker activated, 3Si provided location updates to local law enforcement. Officers responded swiftly, locating and arresting the suspect without incident. All the stolen money was recovered at the scene. The investigation later revealed that the suspect was on law enforcement’s radar due to prior interactions.

Convenience Store – Grand Prairie, TX – May 4, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $500

A masked suspect entered a convenience store armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect fled in a vehicle after receiving a roll of lottery tickets and money (along with a hidden 3Si Cash Tracker). The tracker provided real-time location updates to dispatchers, allowing local police to pursue and intercept the vehicle after a short chase. Police arrested the suspect at the scene and recovered all stolen merchandise.

Big Box Retailer – Wilson, NC – May 5, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $30,000

A significant theft occurred at a national big box retailer, where a suspect made off with merchandise totaling $30,000. A 3Si Phone Tracker concealed among the items began transmitting location data directly to dispatchers shortly after the theft. 3Si assisted local law enforcement in following the signal to a nearby residence. Police apprehended the suspect and recovered all of the stolen merchandise.

Bank – Ocala, FL – May 8, 2025

3 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $6,946

Three suspects conducted an armed robbery at a bank, escaping with nearly $7,000 in cash. After exiting the bank, the Cash Tracker activated and relayed information directly to local law enforcement, enabling them to follow the suspect’s vehicle. All three suspects were taken into custody, and all stolen funds were recovered.

Pharmacy – Maple, ON – May 19, 2025

3 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $25,000

Three suspects stole high-value products from a pharmacy, including merchandise containing a hidden 3Si ORC Tracker. The group had also targeted several other stores earlier that day. While tracking, a second tracker was activated from another nearby location. With the extra information from both places, local law enforcement located the suspects’ vehicle, executed a containment maneuver, and arrested all three individuals without injury. Two trackers and approximately $25,000 in stolen goods were recovered, along with additional merchandise believed to be from other retail chains.

Electronics Store – Merrillville, IN – May 27, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $7,650

A juvenile suspect broke into a telecommunications store during the early morning hours, stealing cellular devices, a cash register, and other accessories—a Phone Tracker hidden among the items activated after the theft. 3Si worked with local police to monitor the signal, which led them directly to the suspect’s location. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and the full $7,650 in stolen property was recovered, including cash and devices.

Big Box Retailer – Grand Forks, ND – May 29, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $30,000

A large volume of merchandise, including a concealed Phone Tracker, was stolen from a retail store. Local law enforcement quickly responded to the tracking information and followed the device’s signal to an address within the city. The suspect was located and taken into custody. All $30,000 worth of merchandise was recovered and returned to the store.
