STORY OF THE MONTH

Clothing Store – New Hyde Park, NY – June 12, 2025

4 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $8,000

A coordinated theft was executed by a group of masked individuals at a clothing store in New Hyde Park, NY. The suspects stormed the location, seizing large quantities of merchandise, including two 3Si ORC Trackers. After fleeing in a waiting vehicle, the trackers provided live location updates. 3Si’s GPS tracking helped law enforcement intercept the suspects live during their getaway. All four suspects were arrested, and $8,000 in stolen merchandise was recovered. Investigators identified the group as part of a known retail theft ring active in the region. Thanks to swift tracking and teamwork between agencies, the incident was fully resolved with no injuries.

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $30,000

2 ARRESTs AND FULL RECOVERY $6,000

Two suspects committed felony theft at a luxury goods retailer in Ramsey, NJ, stealing high-end merchandise valued at $6,000. Unbeknownst to them, a 3Si Asset Tracker was among the stolen items. The device activated, transmitting location data in real time. Law enforcement monitored the tracker’s signal as the suspects crossed multiple jurisdictions. The pursuit led officers to a location in New York City, where the suspects’ vehicle was found. Police conducted a tactical stop and apprehended both individuals without incident. A major theft occurred at a telecommunications store in Houston, TX, where a suspect stole merchandise valued at approximately $30,000. A 3Si Phone Tracker hidden among the stolen goods activated shortly after the theft and began transmitting real-time location data. Officers located the suspect at a nearby address, conducted a successful apprehension, and fully recovered the stolen items. The incident concluded without any injuries, and the suspect is now in custody pending further investigation.

Luxury Goods Store – Kirkland, WA – June 21, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $10,000

A theft occurred at a luxury goods store where a suspect stole a large quantity of high-value goods. A 3Si Asset Tracker was taken as the suspect fled the store. The Asset Tracker’s GPS location allowed law enforcement to track the suspect’s vehicle, where they intercepted and arrested the individual. Approximately $10,000 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered. Authorities report that the primary theft suspect remains at large but is wanted on an outstanding warrant. The case remains under investigation, with additional charges anticipated.

ATM – Toledo, OH – June 26, 2025

FULL RECOVERY $80,000

An attempted theft targeted an ATM. An ATM Tracker and other security backups immediately started reporting the incident. The 3Si ATM Tracker began transmitting its location, assisting authorities in securing the scene. Local officers responded based on the tracker’s location data and secured the ATM. The entire unit and its contents were successfully recovered, resulting in a full recovery of $80,000. The investigation is ongoing.
