STORY OF THE MONTH

Retail Store – Linden, CA – July 31, 2025

A surge in product thefts at a California retail store prompted the proactive deployment of 3Si trackers. On the night of July 31, a significant quantity of merchandise was stolen. Thanks to the 3Si tracking technology, local law enforcement was immediately alerted and responded to the signal. Officers were led to a nearby property, where they recovered some of the stolen merchandise along with additional stolen goods from a nearby vehicle. Three individuals were taken into custody, and a partial recovery of the stolen items was achieved. This swift resolution was made possible through effective coordination between law enforcement and security personnel, stopping an active string of thefts and reinforcing the importance of proactive security measures.

Clothing Store – Los Angeles, CA – July 1, 2025

2 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $1,000

Two individuals executed a theft at a retail clothing location, fleeing with approximately $1,000 in merchandise. A 3Si ORC Tracker with the stolen goods began transmitting after the incident. The store’s loss prevention team coordinated with law enforcement for a more covert activation. Loss prevention and police waited until the merchandise went to the secondary location before acting. Using real-time location data, officers were able to track and apprehend both suspects. The stolen merchandise was returned in full, concluding the case swiftly with no remaining losses reported.

Pharmacy – Dallas, TX – July 5, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $4,197

During a violent robbery at a pharmacy, a male suspect assaulted a clerk and forced access to a safe containing cash. Inside the safe included a 3Si Cash Tracker, which transmitted the suspect’s location after they left with the cash. The signal directed law enforcement to a nearby apartment complex where the suspect’s vehicle was located. Officers identified the specific unit he had entered and detained him without incident. A warrant allowed a full search of the premises, which led to the recovery of the stolen funds and clothing taken in the robbery. The suspect, already on probation for prior offenses, now faces multiple charges including aggravated battery and armed robbery.

Electronics Store – Eden Prairie, MN – July 8, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $30,000

A theft at a telecommunications retailer resulted in the loss of approximately $30,000 in high-value electronics. A 3Si Phone Tracker activated when the thieves fled, enabling law enforcement to track the stolen goods as they were transported across town. Officers followed the live signal to a residence, where they quickly detained one suspect and conducted a recovery operation. The merchandise was returned in full.

ATM – Lakewood, CO – July 18, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $150,000

Two suspects carried out a targeted robbery on a technician who was servicing an ATM, stealing the contents of the ATM, including a 3Si Cassette Tracker. The tracker began transmitting immediately, guiding law enforcement to the location of one suspect. A large portion of the stolen cash was found in a backpack on the suspect at the time of arrest, and the evidence was later located in a nearby trash bin with the help of the 3Si tracker. One suspect remains at large, but the immediate arrest and substantial recovery have significantly disrupted what investigators believe to be an organized crew responsible for similar crimes.

Convenience Store – Tukwila, WA – July 19, 2025

2 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $500

Two individuals robbed a convenience store and made off with $500 in cash. They didn’t know they also took a 3Si Cash Tracker, which transmitted their location directly to local law enforcement. Law enforcement tracked the suspects to a nearby address, where both suspects were taken into custody. The stolen money was recovered in full and returned to the store, with the tracker also retrieved to assist in closing the investigation.

Clothing Store – Concord, CA – July 23, 2025

1 ARREST AND FULL RECOVERY $30,000

A major retail theft of approximately $30,000 in merchandise occurred at a clothing store in Concord. The items included a concealed 3Si GPS Tracker, which began reporting to police. Officers monitoring the data tracked the suspect to a local address. Afterwards, an arrest was conducted, and all stolen merchandise was located and recovered, bringing an end to a potentially high-dollar loss.

Luxury Goods Store – Livermore, CA – July 27, 2025

3 ARRESTS AND FULL RECOVERY $29,705

Three suspects targeted a luxury retail store, stealing nearly $30,000 in handbags. 3Si trackers protecting the inventory guided law enforcement to a secondary location where all suspects were located and arrested. Nineteen handbags were recovered in full, and authorities confirmed that the suspects may be tied to additional retail crimes. The case resulted in a swift multisuspect apprehension and complete recovery of the stolen property.
