Bungling Bandit
The Magic of Macy's
A bank robber held up a bank branch and fled out the door. Once outside, the dye packs activated. The robber dropped the bag of money and fled to where every bank robber goes after unsuccessfully robbing a bank... Macy's Department Store.
While in Macy's, the robber was detained by a security guard after attempting to shop lift a coat. The guard called the police because of the red dye all over his hands and clothing. Police were able to connect him to the robbery and made the arrest.
Raise the Roof
After a brief chase, a suspected bank robber fled to the rooftops of a residential street. The robber jumped from rooftop to rooftop in an attempt to evade police. Covered in red dye from the dye packs that activated after the robbery, the robber paced back and forth on the last roof top before surrendering to police.
College Drop Out
A bank robber handed a bank teller a note wrapped around his college ID card demanding cash. Upon his getaway, a dye pack activated staining his hands, clothing and money stuffed in his pockets. The thief was arrested nearby and confessed to the robbery. He was probably wishing he was just a little more discreet with his demands.
